There are many methods to bypass DRM control on audio and video content.
A simple method to circumvent the DRM on audio files is to copy the content to an audio CD and then ripearlos in DRM-free files. This is only possible when the software that plays these files restricted by DRM to copy CDs. Some software simplifies and automates the process of copying ripped-allowing the user to copy music to a CD-RW drive or a virtual CD-R, and then automatically ripeando and music encoding, and will automatically repeat this process until all of the music selected has been converted, instead of forcing the user to make this a CD (72 to 80 minutes of music) at once.
Many programs have been developed to intercept the data stream while it is being decrypted file restricted by DRM, and then uses this data to build a DRM-free file. These programs require a decryption key. Programs that do this for DVDs, HD DVDs and Blu-ray include universal decryption keys in the same software. However, programs that do this for Togo TiVo recordings, audio, iTunes and PlaysForSure songs depending on the user’s own key – that is, only they can process the content that the user has legally purchased on its own account.
